Like Jung Woo-young (SC Freiburg), who played an active part in the Qatar World Cup soccer team, Cheon Seong-hoon is a talent who entered the overseas big leagues through all the youth systems of the Incheon club. Chun Seong-hoon started with the U-12 team in Incheon, played an active part in U-15 Gwangseong Middle School and U-18 Daegeon High School, and was consistently selected for the age group national team.
With a good physical condition of 190cm and 82kg, Chun Seong-hoon’s main position is a forward striker, and he has excellent talents in various areas of attack. Despite his large physique, he has strengths such as flexible and solid basic skills, air control, and shooting ability.
After graduating from Incheon U-18 Daegeon High School, Cheon Seong-hoon moved to FC Augsburg in the German Bundesliga in 2019 and challenged the European stage. Later, ahead of the 2021-2022 season, he spent his life on loan at FC 08 Homburg, and recently played for FC Augsburg again, before returning to his home team Incheon and facing his first K-League challenge.
Cheon Seong-hoon, who made his debut on the K-League stage in the 2023 season, said, “I am happy to be back with my parent team Incheon. He grew up experiencing a lot in Germany. He wants to become a player who can help the team on the field,” he said, expressing his feelings on joining.
On the other hand, Chun Seong-hoon, who has completed all the joining procedures including the medical test, will immediately participate in the team’s field training in Chiang Mai, Thailand, which has been ongoing since the 3rd, to prepare for the upcoming new season.
