Ahn Kwon-su and Hwang Seong-bin run, Rex and Han Dong-hee fly

The outline of the main batting line for the 2023 season of professional baseball Lotte Giants was revealed. Lotte revealed a strategy to play baseball that runs more actively with the goal of improving batting average in scoring and scoring when scoring.

On the 28th, coach Sutton revealed the direction바카라 of the batting order to be active in the 2023 season of the Korean Professional Baseball (KBO) League, which opens on the 1st of next month. Coach Sutton said, “Compared to last season, this season’s batting lineup will be composed of players who are more athletic and quick-footed.” He emphasized, “It doesn’t mean that all players have quick feet, but we are becoming a team that can actively run one more base.”

At the center of Sutton’s ‘baseball going one base further’ are ‘Hwang Borghini’ Hwang Seong-bin (25) and ‘atmosphere maker’ Ahn Kwon-soo (29). Coach Sutton plans to place Hwang Seong-bin and Ahn Kwon-su alternately in the 9th and 1st batting order, respectively, to create scoring opportunities in the top batting line. Hwang Seong-bin and Ahn Kwon-soo actually performed well in the practice game for the 2023 season as batsmen 1 or 9. Hwang Seong-bin and Ahn Kwon-soo showed off their quick feet and excellent hitting sense, recording batting averages of 0.333 (11 hits in 33 at-bats, 13 games) and 0.571 (16 hits in 28 at-bats, 12 games), respectively, in the demonstration game.

The scoring opportunity from number 9 to number 1 is followed by captain An Chi-hong (32), Jack Rex (29), and Han Dong-hee (23). They are regarded as hitters who can produce good batting balls in any situation and against any pitcher. In particular, Rex joined Lotte in August last season and is considered a hitter with high scoring ability, scoring 72 hits, 34 RBIs and 8 home runs in 56 games.

Lotte’s new 4th hitter, Han Dong-hee, is also expected to display a different offensive power. In April, the first month of last season, Han Dong-hee hit hard, hitting 7 homers and batting average of 0.427, but after that, he left fans disappointed due to injuries and sluggish batting. Han Dong-hee lost more than 10 kg in the team finishing camp and spring camp for his performance this season, completing a similar physical condition to April last season.

Lotte’s 5th to 8th batters are expected to be Jeon Jun-woo (36), Koh Seung-min (22), Noh Jin-hyuk (33), and Yoo Gang-nam (30). They are considered to be the best players with good athleticism among Lotte batters.

Coach Sutton is pinning great expectations on Seung-Min Ko’s performance this season. In the 2022 season, the first season after being discharged from the military, Koh Seung-min had a batting average of 0.316 (74 hits in 234 at-bats), 30 RBIs and 5 home runs, making a clear mark on Sutton. Coach Sutton is expected to make good use of his excellent batting skills and place Seung-min Ko not only as the 5th hitter, but also as needed. Koh Seung-min played as the first and third batters last season and performed well.

Manager Sutton said, “If Jeon Jun-woo and Ko Seung-min, who have good on-base percentages, play as the 5th and 6th hitters, I think there will be many opportunities to raise RBIs even in the lower batting line.” Explained.

Coach Sutton plans to provide many opportunities to rookie hitters who joined Lotte this season. Director Sutton has Kim Min-seok (19), who is called the ‘second Lee Jung-hoo’ in his head. Kim Min-seok appeared in 12 demonstration games this season and recorded a batting average of 0.273 (6 hits in 22 at-bats), 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Kim Min-seok appears as a pinch hitter in the lineup of Jeon Jun-woo, Ko Seung-min, Ahn Kwon-soo, Hwang Seong-bin, and Rex, who will play as outfielders, and is expected to gradually enhance the sense of hitting.

Lotte won a 7-6 come-from-behind victory in an exhibition game against the KIA Tigers held at Sajik Baseball Stadium on the 28th. At the end of the ninth inning, Lotte won two consecutive victories with Go Seung-min’s comeback two-run four.
